FAQs

Who can submit an example?

We welcome submissions from teachers, school leaders, and anyone involved in providing inclusive education in mainstream schools. This includes specialist settings working to support inclusive mainstream practice.

We are looking for practical approaches that support inclusion in mainstream schools. These may include:

No, you do not need to answer every question. Please focus on the areas that are most relevant to the practice and impact you want to share.

We welcome both qualitative and quantitative evidence. You do not need to provide formal data, but if you have progress measures, attendance data, pupil feedback, staff observations, or external recognition, we encourage you to share them. Please do not provide any identifiable pupil data.

Yes. If you have already submitted similar information to another initiative, you can send this to us by email on contact@inclusioninpractice.org.uk, we do not want to create additional workload.

The submission window is due to close on Thursday 1st May. Your submission will be reviewed and analysed by ImpactEd Group. Some submissions may be selected for follow-up case studies where we explore the example in more depth and an overall synthesis report will be produced. Reviewing will take place on a rolling basis, and we may be in touch before the closing date.

If your example is selected for a case study, we may contact you for a follow-up conversation to explore your approach in more detail. The final case studies will be published as part of the Inclusion in Practice hub to share insights across the sector, and we will give you the opportunity to review your case study ahead of publication.

By submitting, you can choose whether to consent to your example being included in published case studies, insights, or the final report and if you are happy for us to publish identifiable details such as your name and role and your school name. We will not publish identifiable details without permission.

Yes! If you have more than one approach to share, you are welcome to submit multiple responses.

Parents/carers can engage by encouraging their child’s school to submit an example of inclusive practice. If you believe your school has a strong approach to inclusion that should be shared, we encourage you to speak to school leaders and suggest they submit an example through our open submission process.

If you would like to nominate your school as demonstrating a strong approach to inclusive practice, please press the button below and complete this short form and we will contact the school on your behalf to recognise their work and encourage them to share their example with us.

If you have any questions about the submission process, please contact us at contact@inclusioninpractice.org.uk

Please share the name and email address of a staff member within the school that we can contact to recognise the school's positive work and encourage them to share their example with us.
